Teamwork on the Antwerp London Bridge
On the corner of Londenstraat and Kattendijkdok-Oostkaai, near the iconic London Bridge in Antwerp, our colleagues at Aertssen Infra have once again shown their craftsmanship. In collaboration with the Smeyers & Smet Group, they completed an impressive project, this time commissioned by Van Wellen Real Estate Development.
This challenging project was completed efficiently, safely and flawlessly thanks to accurate preparation and excellent cooperation between our colleagues and partners. Using advanced machinery including Bobcats, mini excavators and a hybrid transfer crane with a 3.85-meter extension pipe to reach a depth of 12 meters, Aertssen Infra removed approximately 10,000m³ of soil in three phases. Of this, 3,500m³ was under an outrigger frame. Smeyers colleagues in turn took care of the drainage by means of depth wells.
Thanks to the in-house expertise of our group, all this was carried out smoothly. We are proud of the professional work done by our committed colleagues. Congratulations to everyone who contributed to this success!
